From Davis Rhodes, our missionary partner in Tanzania: Thank you so much to the entire congregation at Aldersgate for the Going Deeper contribution that will allow us to purchase a used motorcycle! I want you to know that this means so much to us, and we will use it to continue making more disciples of Jesus Christ here in Tarime. We’ve been having to rent a motorcycle.  Buying one will be a big help as the movement continues to expand farther and farther.

A couple weeks ago, one of the new disciples, Pendo Nyangi, shared her testimony with a relative named Revina Chacha. Two of the QuadW residents, Raphael Musa and Musa Damas, went to visit Revina. They were surprised to find that she is a member of a new Kuria clan who we had never reached before, the Wamera clan.

I wish that you could see this yourself, and I'm not sure the best way to explain how far this is. But I will try, haha. In 2022, some QuadW residents first started to share the Gospel in Gamasara. Gamasara is rural, but not too far from the paved road. A pastor in Gamasara introduced them to some families in an area that was about a one-hour walk from the paved road, a village called Nyagisese. This was where they first started to encounter unreached people, people who knew nothing about the Gospel or Jesus. One guy asked them, "So this Jesus... is it a man, or a woman?"

This was where the movement really started to take off. We taught the new disciples to share their testimony, and they started sharing with their friends and neighbors, and the movement started to move further into more rural and unreached areas. The next village was Jeshi, and then another, still farther, called Itununu. By motorcycle, it takes about one hour and 15 minutes to get to Itununu from the main road. Farther out, but the people of Itununu are still the same clan, the Wasweta. But when Raphael and Musa went to go meet Revina and talk to her about being baptized, they parked the motorcycle at a disciple's house in Itununu and walked an entire hour to get out to Revina's house. They asked people where they were, and they replied, "Bumera", meaning, "The place of the Wamera."

We are so thankful that the Spirit is continuing to bring more and more people into a new life of following Jesus, and your motorcycle will really help us to reach them.
