New Sermon Series

Beginning March 23, 2008 we will begin a new sermon series entitled “The Seven Next Words of Christ.” Based on a book by Shane Standford, the series will examine the teachings that Jesus offered to his disciples and other followers after the resurrection but prior to his ascension. Just as the “Seven Last Words” give us insight into heart of Jesus’ ministry, so the “Seven Next Words” are words of direction and instruction for all followers of the risen Christ.

We encourage you to read and study with us in the weeks ahead:

The First Word: Who are you looking for? (John 20:1-18)

The Second Word: Greetings… Don’t be afraid. (Matthew 28:8-10)

The Third Word: What are you so concerned about? (Luke 24:13-34)

The Fourth Word: Peace be with you. (John 20:19-29)

The Fifth Word: Go into the world. (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Sixth Word: Have you caught any fish? (John 21:1-23)

The Seventh Word: Wait for the gift. (Acts 1:1-11)
