2007 BBQ Report

The 23^rd Annual UMM BBQ was a great success! The weather was good, the fellowship was wonderful, and everyone had a great time. Webelos and Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 307 helped out again in the kitchen and ran the pick up service at the front of the church. The table below lists the total sales and expenses for this year.

We sold 850 plates and some bulk BBQ, netting just over $4,100 this year. We also gave 24 plates to the Renaissance Center. With the left over chickens and beans, we made 60 meals for the Montgomery Council on Aging Meals on Wheel program. We also donated the unopened slaw and bread to the Friendship Mission on Mobile Highway.

2007 Program Budget Report

Our program budget for the year was ambitious in that we planned to spend about $6,200 while planning on taking in only $4,500. We have built up a solid reserve over the last several years, so the Executive Committee was led through prayer to “overspend” our income for 2007. The table below outlines the general categories of expenses for 2007.

At the December meeting of the Executive Committee, a budget was adopted for 2008 that will again spend more out of the reserve to get money out doing God’s work.
