Thanks, Mom.

At age thirty-four, I am beginning to pick up on a few things my mother has taught me along the way. I am so blessed to have the influence of a fine Christian mother, who has been a faithful witness to the love of Christ to her family, her church, and to her community. Here are some words of wisdom from Mom.

• There is no excuse for being unkind to another person.

• Life is not all about being loved by everyone, but about sharing love with others.

• Stand up and speak out for the underdog.

• If you see a need, meet it...you are as capable as anyone else.

• Mediocrity is not an option. If you are going to do something, do it grand!

• If you believe in God, then live like it.

• Enjoy your children every minute of every day.

• Embarrassing yourself is not the end of the world.

• The world is bigger than what you see; get out there.

• No matter what happens in this world, your mother loves you.

Give thanks to God for the blessings you have received from your mother.
