Graduating Students’ Names Needed
We would like to list in the bulletin the names of church members graduating from colleges and universities this spring.  Please email Linda by June 2nd at office@aldersgateumc.org with the name of the student and the school.  

United Methodist Women Unit Meeting

PROGRAM:  “The Journey to Peace” presented by Judy Pugh with Sonshine Circle. (Special Mission Project:  Please bring your quarters, nickels, pennies!)  This will be followed by a Covered Dish Luncheon hosted by Christian Outreach Circle.

Invitation to Ladies…
H.O.P.E. Circle will meet for lunch on Wednesday, May 21, at Nancy Paterson’s, at 11:30.  This is our last meeting until September.  If you are not in a circle, we would love to have you join us.  Please let Martha Murphy (286-5024) know if you are interested in coming. 

Aldersgate Goes to
 the Atlanta Aquarium
Come join the Aldersgate Family on Saturday, June 14, as we tour the largest interactive aquarium in the world. Tickets are $23.50 for adults, $17.50 for children and $22.50 for those over 55.  Bus transportation is $5 per person.  We will depart the church at 8:00 a.m., eating lunch at the aquarium.  We’ll leave the aquarium at 5:00 and stop for dinner on the way home, expecting to be back at the church by 7:30 p.m.  Tickets and transportation are limited to the first 26.  Money is due at time of reservation to Dave McKinney in the Christian Activity Center.

• Black contractors tarp
• 2 Rubbermaid under bed storage containers
• Newspapers (enough to stuff 75 grocery bags)
• ½ “ or thicker foam sheets
• Assorted sizes foam paint brushes
• Cardboard sheets 4’ x 6’
• 15 (1 lb.) boxes of cornstarch
• 3 (1 gal.) jugs of Elmer’s white glue
• 600 quart freezer Ziploc baggies
• 16 garden spray bottles
• Measuring spoons & measuring cups
• Brown paper grocery sacks
• 200 large plastic disposable cups
• 200 medium plastic disposable cups
• 2 dozen QUART canning jar lids
• 4 cardboard refrigerator boxes with bottoms
• Use of toaster ovens for Sunday night

Large Type Hymnals
A complete set of the Braille Hymnal and hearing assistance units are available in our Sanctuary.  See an usher prior to our 10:30 Worship Service to try one out.

Flowers for the Altar
All church members may honor the life or memory of someone special by donating flowers on the altar in the sanctuary.  If you want to designate a Sunday when you or your class would like to purchase the flowers, all you need to do is contact Linda Anderson in the church office at 272-6152.  The new calendar chart for 2008 has been hung outside the office door.  Please see it for available dates.  The weekly cost for the flowers is $45.00.  We encourage you to remember this opportunity and select a date that you would like to reserve.     Thank you.

Calendar Reservations
Please be sure to let Linda in the church office (272-6152) know of any committee or group meetings for 2008 that you would like to have on the church calendar.  (For scheduling in the Christian Activity Center, call the church office and ask for Dave.)
