Tuesday Morning Bible Study
6:30-7:30 am

We start at 6:30 a.m. (0630 for all of you retired military types) with an excellent breakfast of fruit, grits (plain or cheese), scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage and bacon, plus juice and coffee (of course!).  The study time will be done by 7:30 in time to make it to work.

Men, Meat and a Movie 2012
Open Grill Night Friday, February 10th

The UMM will have an "Open Grill" fellowship on Friday, February 10th at 6pm. We will fire up the BBQ pit and open up the CAC kitchen for a night of men cooking meat over fire!  Bring your own cut of meat to cook, be it wild game or domestic animal.  The UMM will provide sides and drinks.  Bring your lawn/tailgating chairs to gather around the fire.

We'll eat in Room 22 (Fellowship Hall) and watch Courageous, the latest movie from Sherwood Pictures - the church-based film company in Albany, Georgia that brought us Fireproof and Facing the Giants.  Courageous is about men becoming the men and dads that God intends them to be.  If you can't stay for the movie, come grill and dine with us!

Dads are welcome to bring their sons along.  This will be a great event to bring a friend along, someone that doesn't have a church home or perhaps someone that doesn't know Christ.  Please call or email Robert Thompson at 396-1174, 850-2794 or rthompson@danbrownandassociates.com to let him know you will be coming or to volunteer to help.

27th Annual UMM
BBQ Sells Out!! 

Our annual UMM BBQ (held October 1, 2011) was a great success this year.  The cool weather came in just in time to encourage hungry folks to pick up 1096 plates of our delicious BBQ, plus sell what little we had left over on Sunday.  The total plates moved on Saturday (tickets plus cash sales) was the highest since we had 1168 in 2005.  Our net revenue was $6,223, almost a post-2005 record!  Praise to God for the great success in fund raising and fellowship.  The funds will go to several ministries and mission in the coming year, including our Scout Troop (thanks for the help on Saturday!), adult and youth mission trips, local hunger relief efforts, and other missions opportunities.

A big THANK YOU to everyone that volunteered their time to help.  Everyone enjoyed the time of fellowship that comes with a bunch of men cooking meat on a fire, as well as everything else that makes a great BBQ meal!

Also a big THANK YOU to everyone at Aldersgate (and beyond) that purchased tickets, bought cash sales plates, and helped spread the word of our effort.  We look forward to number 28 next year!
